Disgusted

I'm not sure if I'll venture down the political path again after this post, but I just HAVE to say that I'm disgusted. I'm disgusted with people who are attacking my Church because they didn't get their way in an election.

For Pete's sake, this country was founded on the idea of the right to VOTE and not have someone dictate what we will do or believe. We voted--TWICE--and the people of California have spoken. Those who do not like this choice are free to try to change it by voting again.

I'm sick to death of being called a bigot and a hater because I did not vote to oppose Prop. 8. I'm sorry if my FREEDOM TO VOTE infringes on your will to get your way. I have not called the opposition any names. I have not defaced their property. If Prop. 8 had not passed, I would have had to suck it up and live with it--because I believe in obeying the laws of the land. I also believe that if I disagree with something, I have the right, nay the OBLIGATION, to do something about it--through legal venues.

I am saddened that my character is being attacked by malicious people who, for the most part, don't want to think about how immature their own behavior has been. Stop the name calling! Stop defacing property! Shame on you! If you have a beef, get your own Proposition or Constitutional Amendment passed through legal channels. Stop being a bully. You don't KNOW me if you call me a bigot or a hater.

Grow up! Is this the example you want to teach your children--if you don't get your way, call people names and hurt their property.

I'm glad that I voted with integrity. I didn't get my way on every issue--but you won't see me hypocritically calling others haters.

I couldn't agree more! I keep picturing a 3 year old throwing a tantrum for not getting their way. So immature!!
